My daughter Sharon is pregnant with her first baby. I am delighted . This will be my first grandchild and i am so happy i want to tell the world.
Sharon is 40 so we are a bit concerned that everything will go well. She is very fit and healthy .She had had the first scan and everything is fine. I hope you will all pray for her that all will be well. The baby is due in October . I cant wait !

What lovely news Kathleen. I worried as I was 38 when I had my little boy but I was exceptionally healthy throughout the pregnancy and so was he. Keep us up to date on how she is doing.

Congratulations to Sharon!
I was 39 when my one and only daughter was born and she's 21 now, so don't worry ,Sharon will be fine.
Wishing her a smooth, uneventful pregnancy.

Hi Kathleen,

Fantastic news and hope all goes well. My friend aged 47 had a lovely healthy boy last year, and my sister-in- law at 43, as long as mums are healthy giving birth in ones 40's no longer seems to be an issue.

love,

Barbara

What lovely news, congratulations! It really is great to have grandchildren, they do add an extra dimension to your life.

My daughter in law was 40 when she had Emily, and everything was fine.

Congratulations to you all, so exciting isnt it?

Will you be there for the birth?

I've had the pleasure of seeing both my granchildren being born.

The first one, well I somehow managed to be there for the event (long story), I kept asking Julie if she minded and she said no. Still wondered if she did mind.

Then when she was in labour with Paris I got a telephone call from the midwife saying she wanted her mum to come and hold her hand. I got there just in time for the birth............aren't I a lucky bunny?

Keep us up with the news

Love Paula xx
